Description

A view of the castle on a blustery day from the boat on its way to the Farne Islands.
This was a very tricky shot as I was using the 400 zoom and the water was very choppy in the gale that was blowing.

Although I'm not even technically done with #3, and #4 is nowhere near it's first stage, I've decided this will #5 and maybe the last one. It will be called Bebbanburg:

"In literature, Bamburgh, under its Saxon name Bebbanburg, is the home of Uhtred, the main character in Bernard Cornwell's The Saxon Stories. It features either as a significant location or as the inspiration for the protagonist in all books in the series, starting with The Last Kingdom, and the sequels The Pale Horseman, The Lords of the North, Sword Song, The Burning Land, Death of Kings, The Pagan Lord and The Empty Throne."

I had to look it up, but I was SURE this has to be the historical model for Cornwell's Bebbanburg. The region and the name were too spot on, as you say.
