A spectacular range of light catching the arches at the ruined Tintern Abbey in Monmouthshire last weekend. I was fascinated by the golden light in the far nave. The abbey was backlit from this angle and the visible wall on the far interior nave glowed golden with the reflected light from the opposite wall. The nearer nave had no direct sun and reflected a warm brown light, but the exterior closest to the photographer which was in the shadow, had a cold blue hue. There is no manipulation of colours and the only photoshop adjustment was with levels, to remove white light, leaving the natural colours.

wow!nice observation. i love that turquoise colour at the top.
turquoise + gold = tasty

... where is Monmouthshire? i've never heard of such a place.
There are actually 4 openings in the shot, and that makes the title even more interesting to me, as you have to really look to notice the 'first' one.

The colors are stunning and well done. How did that last arch get the wonderful gold color?
